My friend Tenzin Lhabu Mentrul & friends from New York created Facebook event to get people together and play Flag Football on May 20th 2017 to raise fund for Pocket Money Project, as he had done the previous year and posted this:

"Lets have some fun and raise some money for the kids. For those not familiar with pocketmoneyproject.org, In brief: it helps the kids in Upper TCV, Dharamsala that need financial support for something as small as snacks, school supplies or even a trip outside of school. Myself and most of us were fortunate enough that our parents were able to provide us with most of the things we wanted as kids. $25 a person, what do you say!!!"

People responded with excitement and showed up in numbers.
